ANSI / PSAI Standards

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Portable Sanitation Association International (PSAI) set important industry standards that go beyond OSHA and ADA minimums. These standards guide the number, placement, and maintenance of portable sanitation units.

ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 – Sanitation: Nonsewered Waste Disposal Systems at Places of Employment

Covers portable toilets at job sites where sewer/septic connections are not available. Ensures workers have safe, sanitary facilities and sets requirements for cleaning and servicing.

Applies to portable toilets at public events, parks, and recreation sites not connected to sewer or septic. Focuses on protecting public health and the environment.

These standards are recognized industry best practices and are available through PSAI. Pottys Plus follows ANSI/PSAI guidelines to deliver sanitation solutions that raise the bar for quality and safety in New Jersey.
