Year-Round Planning
Summer (Peak)
- Challenge: Heat increases odors.
- Solution: Increase service frequency to 2x/week. Place units in shade.
- Best Unit: VIP Flush Units (better ventilation).
Winter (Freeze)
- Challenge: Snow blocks access; tanks freeze.
- Solution: Plow clear paths for our trucks. Add salt solution to tanks.
- Best Unit: Standard Unit (rugged & simple).
Spring/Fall
- Challenge: Muddy ground.
- Solution: Place units on pavement or gravel pads.

Do portable toilets freeze in winter?
The waste tank can freeze in extreme cold. To prevent this, we add a powerful brine (salt) solution to the tank water during winter months. This keeps the unit functional even in freezing NJ temps.
Can you service units in the snow?
Yes, but our trucks need safe access. We ask that you plow a clear path to the unit (at least 15 feet wide) so our drivers can reach it safely without getting stuck.
Do units get hot in the summer?
They can. We recommend placing units under trees or near building shadows to reduce internal temperature. For high-end events, Air-Conditioned Trailers are the best solution.
